018: new makeshift artspace

quotidie
018 : 1.18

today was quite a sluggish day. funny, because sunday is also the day i end up planning to do homework. sunday is the day i find myself succumbing to all tired-ness acquired during the week. well, God did rest on the seventh day.

at around 4pm i finally start to make my sculpture for art class. i spent about 2 hours getting everything ready on that small black table in the middle of the room, doing a million other things in between.

(that said, i must account that i heard my friend suet wa for the first time since 2005, and i was shocked by how physically different this familiar soul looked on webcam. long hair i could handle, but the accent completely threw me off. there was no trace of the singaporean accented voice that squealed "myojo noodles!" she sounded like an international school kid. hahaha i hope you read this suet wa.)

so there is the little artspace. even with piled clothes and a comforter to sit on, the table is a little too high to be comfortable to work on.

things to see:
the mod-rocked work on the table, which i lost steam for doing after a little more than an hour. i realized this was because i didn't initially plan to do this, i was supposed to break everything and then cover it in mod-rock. the heterogeneous pieces still sit unmoved that way now, and attention to it will be rainchecked for tomorrow. *sigh*
a bit of my sketchbook page can be seen, and how i want the sculpture to be is drawn on it.
i usually work like this when there's no more sunlight, because i find room lights too unfocused - artificial light falling on objects for me is extremely distracting, compared to how sunlight lights up a room. i'm not sure why that is though. besides, ours is quite dim to begin with.

sunday really must be rest day.
