i had at least three other photos i would have liked to put up for today, of long-lasting sunrises and the morning glow across a gas station, of blue and orange sunsets and bare tree sillhouettes, and of the late afternoon sun illuminating industrial plastic. perhaps i am being too influenced by the Georgian poets that i write about in my english essays.

but today was the day my dad went out to the country (a £19 train [a real train that chugs] ride that i have yet to go on) to claim his - our - car. we've all dreamt of this car while we would stand outside in the winter cold waiting for the bus, and while lugging bags (and a granny bag) of grocery items home from the supermarket.

i did some extra work for art in school (but ended up arranging this on Microsoft Word to print out and read) just to be able to stay until 3:30pm to be picked up by my dad in this car. i wanted to get a photo of this. just thought this merited a little bit of mention for this day.

walking out of Tesco Extra with grocery items we couldn't buy before because it'd be too heavy to carry home, i said, "nakanaman naglalakad papuntang carpark." (would you look at that [best attempt at colloquial parallelism], we're walking towards the carpark.)
