quotidie
030 : 1.30
my job as an art technician usually finds me walking through deserted hallways of the school. the building is much more pleasant this way, without rowdy kids in uniform who barge through the crowd like they're the only ones walking. i've learned that there are a lot of doors in buildings here because it keeps in the heat.
this week was tiring. when i stretch my hands right now, my skin feels like it's being stretched over the flesh underneath. the cracked fingerpads i have on my left hand (acquired from my short-lived pursuit of guitar) are accented because i imagine and feel that modroc has been plugged into the pores of my hands (hahaha, sebastian faulks there, i loved that description. see Birdsong page 176).
for some reason walking through empty corridors of the school made me feel lighter. more collected. and a lot smaller.
